Back to School

Tuesday was the girls first day back to school! I can't believe how quick Summer went by!

Emma is repeating kindergarten this year so she is so very happy to have her same teacher from last year, Mrs. Shelberg.

Charis is also happy to have Mrs. Triano for 4th grade! These pictures are from meet the teacher day before school started.

On Tuesday morning I woke the girls up with a pancake breakfast in bed. They were THRILLED to be woken up so early. I think we all had gotten into a habit of sleeping in late.

But the pancakes must have woken them up because by the time we got to school they were bright eyed and cheery! Here is Emma at her table in kinder. Emma has the smallest class in the school. There are only 7 little guys this year.

And Charis in her 4th grade classroom. She has the biggest class at the whole school. A whopping 13 kids!

 It was raining when I took these pictures so they didn't turn out so great. When Charis grows up she wants to be a hairdresser and when Emma grows up she wants to be a flower girl. Ben's reaction to these career choices was, "Well, I guess we can stop saving for college!"

On Friday afternoon we celebrated the end of the first week of school. We went out for frozen yogurt with our very good friends. I just love all these cheery faces! In this pic we have a kindergartner, a 1st grader, a 3rd grader, a 4th grader and a 5th grader!

Wedding!!!!

The long awaited wedding day was finally upon us!

Marc eagerly waited up front with Smedly (our pastor) and his best man and best friend, Mick, by his side.

 The bridesmaids and groomsmen made their way down the aisle. (That's Ben and Ali, the M-O-H.)

All the brothers! (McKenna has 3 brothers and Marcus has 2.)

 I always love watching the groom's face as the bride walks down the aisle.

 Emma got distracted midway through the ceremony by this curl and wanted me to take a picture of it. I really don't know what goes on in that little head of hers!

 After they said, "I do" Marc & McKenna kissed for the first time! It was so sweet and I'm so glad I caught it on camera. (The sound is pretty bad so just enjoy the video!)

 We made it into the reception and took a few pics while waiting for the bride and groom to arrive!

After which, he and McKenna shared their father/daughter dance.

Marc & Kathy (his mom) danced their mother/son dance and that's when I lost it! I cried the entire time. It was so sweet to see them together!

That's when Emma got her wish! It was dancing time! I don't think she stopped dancing (except for potty breaks) until 11pm!

They were SO tired!!!
