We have celebrated two showers so far with Deidre as her wedding day fast approaches. Here are a few pictures of the dignified bride...
This one isn't fair...it was part of a game that we made her play!

The Final Hours

Charis found a photo booth at Sea World...she thought it was the best thing ever! We didn't actually pay for any pictures but it was fun all the same.
Then it was time to head home. This is 30 seconds into the car ride home...
This is 40 seconds into the car ride home and she stayed this way for an hour and a half.

Sea World

This weekend we went to Sea World. Charis' favorite thing was a-moo-moo (shamu-for those of you who don't speak "Charis"). She clapped and screamed the whole time...

Except for when I tried to take a picture...then she was quiet.

Sea World

We saw sea otters...flamingos...
sharks...

dolphins...
and got to feed bat rays!
On Saturday we went to Michael's graduation. Ben was commenting on how it is such a shame that the campus of Point Loma has to be so ugly. As you can tell from this picture, he was being sarcastic. I don't know how Michael managed to graduate in four years with that beautiful beach just down the hill. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see the graduation...Charis and I explored the campus, ran up and down every green rolling hill, played in every cool fountain and found where they sell ice cream sandwiches. We really had a lot of fun!!This is Michael and Cammie (his girlfriend). She also graduated on Saturday.

San Diego 2006

Last weekend we drove down to San Diego to visit with family and to see Ben's brother, Michael, graduate from Point Loma. We had so much fun! Here is the view from our hotel room door. Not bad, huh? We had a lot of friendly visitors come see us at our hotel. Here are two of them. They enjoyed vocalizing during the middle of the night too.
Right across the street from the hotel was a playground overlooking the ocean. (our hotel was on an island)
Charis loved the fresh air and the freedom to run around outside and chase ducks.
We went to Seaport Village and Charis got to ride the carousel!
